Back to the Future
What would you do if God were to give you an assignment to help change the world and increase their knowledge and consciousness of Him? Before you answer let me go ahead and give you that assignment. Your assignment should you choose to accept it (and this offer expires in 3 minutes) is to go back in time to 3113BCE and explain me to people: with the information that you now possess- 2009 knowledge.
Are you ready?
The first practical things that you must consider is that you are talking to a very uneducated and agricultural society, of whom 95% of the people can't read, probably have never seen a book. You need to proceed carefully because they think the earth is flat. They believe in many different gods and they are really afraid when lightning strikes indicating that God is mad again.
They believe that the sky is a dome above the earth with little lights painted on that ceiling and beyond the ceiling is where God lives. They have a lot of other primitive ideas but what can you expect? It's 3113BCE and when one goes back more than 5,000 years it's truly Culture Shock!
By the way, 3113 is when the Mayan calendar began- that ends December 21, 2012. :-)
Since you're as smart as you are you realize that you can't tell them ALL that you know at once because in so doing you might get fed to a near by volcano as a peace offering. The facts that you scientifically know are true can't be comprehended but if you could paint a story or offer the information in the form of a metaphor, maybe a parable.
What you come to realize is that whatever you tell them can't be the final word and that you'll have to slowly reveal pieces of the puzzle over time. But how much time do you have? Now that is a serious problem; however, with the Spirit of God who has no beginning, nor an end, information can be released all throughout history.
And IT IS!
There is no final word! And that's the final word. :-)
