Part 5: Did Women Play A Significant Role In The Establishment of the Early Church?

My Beloved Sister in Christ Ingrid Greetings,

Peace be unto you. May the grace of God our Father be forever with you? We also declare that Jesus Christ came to save the world from sin and that He also sent us the Holy Spirit as our guide and comforter through the trials of life. For this we are grateful to God and Christ.

Beloved if women played a significant role in the establishment of the Church what role do they play now? Paul preaches to a small group of women in Philippi.

Acts 16: 13-14. "And on the Sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither."

"And a certain woman name Lydia, s seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshiped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which we spoken of Paul." (Also see Revelation 1: 11, 2: 18-29; Acts 13: 43, 18: 7).

Lydia's heart was opened thus she was able to understand the preaching of Paul. What if a preacher doing these days and times does not preach what thus said the Lord? Can a believer's heart be opened to Truth thus distinguishing between what is in the Bible and what is in man?

Luke 24: 45. "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures."

Jesus at this place reveals (in the preceding verse 44) that the words that I speak were written in the Law (The Old Testament). He brought these facts of the Old Testament in conjunction with the things that were happening at that point in time for their understanding. Brethren can we do the same?

How can women and men come to an understanding of the scriptures? Is this seen in reading what has been written? Why is there so much emphasis on fiction, pictures and movies of Christ and Church? Do these things come from God?

Women were also given the gift of prophesy.

Acts 21: 9. "And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy."

The prophesying of these virgins fulfilled the predictions made in Joel 2: 28-29 and quoted by Peter in Acts 2: 17-18. However why did this gift end? Also why do so many women and men still claim the gift of prophesy?

These people also come from the left and the right. However we stand neither left nor right as Jesus Christ encompasses all.

Peace be unto you. Noah came crying and pleading that the world and its people were consumed with sin. However none sought repentance and looked upon Noah a man of righteousness as crazy.

The good man knew in his heart that God would not want him to be hungry and homeless. Thus as he began to read and study the Bible he found that this System (Con-Game) or Scheme of Tithes was not based on scripture. Although many Preachers said paying God 10% of your income is based on scripture and commanded by God they are either ignorant or just plain liars.
